My name is Sam and I'm majoring in art. Art has always been a part of my life, something that has inspired and intrigued me for as long as I can remember. My interests range from pencil drawing, and painting to photography and poetry, though my more personal work is not displayed on this site.

My paintings are often very symbolic and complex...those of you who know me from studio last year are well aware of how long it will take me to explain the nature of my work. "Sin", angst, obsession, fear, love, and loss appear often in my poetry. I have endured a lot in order to get where I am now, and I have left someone behind I never thought I could escape from.

Moving on...

Though some of my writing reflects my distaste for religion, I am not particularly opinionated in that area. My opinions regarding religion aren't meant to put down any belief system, only to express my disapproval of one forcing beliefs on another. I consider myself to be more spiritual than religious.

I am searching for a higher meaning in everything. I like things that challenge me...that challenge my own thought process..even my own beliefs. I like things that are unique, out of the ordinary.

My passion for art causes me to view things around me very differently, and it has kept me going through difficult times.
